Thought provoking article.

As a Christian, I try to govern my worldview by the Bible. I don’t do it perfectly, I need to work on doing it more, but it’s what I try to do.

That means I try not to see things as Left or Right, but as biblical and unbiblical. Generally, the platform on the right tends to align more with biblical principles. That doesn’t make me an enthusiastic right winger. Sometimes I can get caught up in narratives, and my team vs. their team, which is the incorrect way to go about these things. There’s plenty of things on the right that I don’t like or agree with. But there’s many more things on the left that I don’t like or agree with, based on my worldview and how I try to live my life.

I can't say I agree with everything here but it is presented with controlled passion. I aspire to avoid politics at all costs because, as you point out, both sides are idiots. Seeing things clearly for what they are is absolutely necessary and totally deficient in the world. Thank you for giving me some deep things to think about today!
